Hi Guys,

I have a faulty ETA that I have taken out of my W124 500E which I need rebuilding.

Can anyone recommend any good rebuilders? I contacted BBA Reman however, I never got a response back from them.

Anyone know of any good companies that can do this?

Cheers

It may be worth a word with @jaymanek who's based in Nuneaton.

Whilst probably not doing them himself, he's owned a few of these cars and knows the right people. Certainly worth a chat to I'd have thought...

Jay even made a video!

The problem is 2 fold either the wiring insulation of external or internal wiring has degraded or the positional potentiometers have given up the ghost. There are people out there [some in the USA] who rebuild them but they tend to be one-man operations who rely on word of mouth to advertise their skill set. JAYMANEK is your man here as suggested so contact him. here's a little more about what's involved.

Hey, thanks for posting that Grober.

The only reliable person to rebuild these is the guy in the states Victor. He has various videos on youtube about it.

I havent sent my old one off for repair yet, but will do at some point so I have a spare.

As per my video, the most common issue is the wiring loom.
