The products are fine, it was the Watford franchaise that clouded the name in the UK. Gasman and E55BBA's experiences should htell you your car is safe with Acid and MSL.

No harm in asking. But you did answer my question.

Cheers

Can I just ask what are we thinking of eurocharged products. I,e exhaust mods maps?

Cheers Tom

Eurocharged Products are fine and Jerry (Eurocharged owner) comes across as a nice guy and has been to the UK a few times (usually at MSL) for MB Club Dyno days.

Weistec name was dragged through the mud a while back and they have made a full recovery and going strong again.

As for MSL i have watched them go from strength to Strength over the last few years and Acid has remained grounded and just the same down to earth guy he has always been........not many companies give you there own Stage 3 Supercharged C63 to take home for the week while they work on your car

Is this forum sponsored by MSL?

As it happens then yes, they are forum sponsors.

Don't let that put you off though, so are lots of other good garages. Just that MSL are the go to people for specialist tuning work, especially with AMG powered Mercedes

Are you bringing your shouty E63 to the next meet Dave? I still have tinnitus from last time ! (Can I have a go?) :D

No idea when the next meet is to be honest, though I may just be calling at MSL this Saturday morning on my way darn saaf...

I don't associate Eurocharged with being bad as they, including Watford, delivered what I wanted and to a point were very good. I since deal directly with Jerry for any updates and the process is again seamless with a quick turnaround.

What I did notice was towards the end that they had a complete lack of customer attention. I was lucky if I could get through on the phone, and my last conversation around header options was with a chap who knew nothing about them. He told me that if I wanted headers for a C63 that they could only make custom ones; no mention of IPE, FI or any of the others. A quick call to MSL and I was hooked up with IPE's right away.

What is a shame is that Watford carried the Eurocharged name rather than "XYZ Motors - Eurocharged Supplier" so, people who have been burnt may think badly of the name...but it's just a name. I shouldn't take much thought to realise that the Eurocharged products are in fact very good and that the Eurocharged company isn't the bad guy.

To a certain extent but as the parent company they had a responsibility to intervene when things were going pear shaped...do you really believe the initial franchise fee didnt go into soneones pocket
If you as the parent company sell your name to be marketed then you must bear a responsibility when that name is being dragged thru the mud...what happened in watford was criminal

I agree. If I was to put myself into Eurocharged USA's shoes, then I would have done all that I could to protect the name but I don't think it was that simple. What they should have done is released a bulletin to the communities to explain the situation.

The way i see it, Eurocharged for the most part in the UK are a supplier of ECU tunes among other parts. The Eurocharged UK Watford franchise was a supplier of these parts but undertook many many other works that had no involvement with Eurocharged parts or the overarching USA company at all such as body conversions, diff installs, servicing...whatever. That stuff Eurocharged USA had no control over, only the quality of their own products. If someone went to Eurocharged Watford and was solely having Eurocharged parts installed and they F'd all of that up/the parts were not fit for purpose, then Eurocharged USA would have to answer in my opinion.
Where I think the oversight came for Eurocharged USA is figuring out what they would do if the franchise who are carrying out loads of non-Eurocharged work, F's everything up like they did while carrying their name. The franchise obviously started out in good faith, and although Eurocharged USA have been quiet, they have certainly been burnt also with reputation and loss of sales.

The only people to blame here are the former owners of the UK franchise.

But my point is the Watford 2 traded under the Eurocharged banner and as such the parent company has a responsibility
To ensure what happened shouldnt have and i also wonder in the midst of this collapse did the watford 2 benefit from selling the franchise with US approval while still owing people money and disposing of all the assets and parts

Also i assume both the watford 2 have ridden of into the sunset with money jangling in their pocket from the sale of all the assets
I Dont ubderstand why Acid has bought the franchise as it is a Tainted name .i can only assume incase some other Capt Jack Sparrow set up Euroxharged 2
Acid certainly doesnt need Eurocharged as his business is unblemished

IS MSL the same people/company as torqueflow exhausts ?

Get ya..

I went to torqueflow many years ago to have an exhaust built for my 5 series, was a very large place with multiple ramps. I was just googling MSL and thought i recognised the building.

And still the same guy doing it and he's a total master with the pipe bender and welder. Great Work still going on at Torqueflow.

I had my headers fitted by MSLP and Imran (Torqueflow) did the rest up to my stock back boxes. Did a great job on the X pipe.

Imran knows his stuff and they are all good guys there.

Also gets on with the job and doesn't need your car for 3 weeks while they fart around. All done in a day usually.

Yea,Imran did mine in a day,

It was a long day for the poor bloke as some of his tooling bust, but i needed the car to drive back to Manchester...

Finished around 10pm IIRC,the poor bloke looked broken..

I imagine he's had plenty of late finishes but I guess he loves it!
