I use eurorescue.co.uk. They offer cover for as little as one day which costs only £10.

Keep MB servicing and MobiloLife gives you European cover all the time (not just 21 days) for all drivers and UK cover too of course.

Full AA cover for man and wife in UK alone is about £140 and another wad for Europe.

I've been happy with these guys (they seem very good value), though I suppose the proof of the pudding is if you ever actually need them, which fortunately, I haven't.

Ring your insurance company mine adrian flux did it for another £45 called flux rescue.

For most people now, Mobilo has some big holes in its cover once the car is 2-3 years old. It's really only breakdown cover.
That's not unusual, most other manufacturer's cover is the same. You'd be taking a chance relying on it for a European trip.

I should imagine all the companies aa rac mobilo will sub the work out and all will have instrucions to get the car to the local mb dealer for repair, which will prob be expensive but after all it is a breakdown and they are never cheap.

So waht you are paying for is recovery to nearest repairer and hopefully them simply dreadful foreigners wont rip you off

In UK - Mobilio send out a Mercedes engineer with Star etc - not sure about other countries. I know RAC / AA wouldn't have that sort of equipment on board.
When my car played up Mobilio said they are running late - would I be prepared to wait an hour or they can send out a nearby garage techy to look at it. I waited and I think it was worth waiting.

HSBC Bank Account Plus gives you full european cover. Everytime we drive abroad we call them for that green certificate. Thats all
