Apologies as I've already touched on this previously.

I'm looking to get FULL European cover insurance and finding it difficult to get a quote. At the tender age of 25 I waited to get full cover by ducking and diving cancelling policies after the 180 days European cover finished.
Only now every provider is now saying you must be over 30 to get full coverage on "an AMG" or something similar.

Does anyone have any ideas? Other than getting a pedal bike which my boss advised.

SAGA are the only "shed" insurer that will provide 365 days Euro cover and they're a non starter for you, at your age.

Your only other option would be to go to one of the specialists (Chubb) but don't be surprised at the cost of a policy. It'll be a lot, but you will get bomb proof cover.

You could try the broker Stuart Collins. I got a quote (relevant bits below for the OP) for unlimited EU travel, but decided to choose MB as it had all I needed for a good price.

7)* We would issue a European rated policy that will give your selected policy cover across the 28 countries of the EU (including UK) plus three that are not, (Norway, Serbia and Switzerland)* without limit of time, main country of use outside UK being Belgium.

8)* You will be issued with policy Documentation which confirms ANNUAL European use (including Green Card). Our quote includes an OPTIONAL Legal Assistance policy for the recovery of uninsured losses after a non fault accident which works in the UK and EU, at a fee of £30.00 (Unusually, it is not normally possible in Europe to recover hire car costs). PLEASE NOTE THAT THE "DRIVING OF OTHER CARS" EXTENSION (REFER TO YOUR CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE) DOES NOT OPERATE OUTSIDE THE UK.

This is an extended foreign use scheme with AXA Insurance.

Maybe I could like into AXA? Stuart Collins was the main one in question to let me down due to my age although in recent years I had been told that it was 25 compulsory.

Not sure on wether it's the fact of the power, status, as in AMG, or the price of the car.

Have you asked your current insurer if they would give you full European cover as an extension of your present policy? Admittedly I'm well over 25 but that's how I get my EU comprehensive cover.

Are you looking to get insured for 365 days cover in Europe from a UK insurer?
Why not just insure the car with an EU insurer ?

Who are you with at the minute? I'm only aware of Saga that offer that but won't touch me due to my age.

I drive the car both in Europe and UK, mostly Europe for this year definitely due to work commitments. Every German insurer want me to Register my car in Germany thus getting a German reg which I wouldn't be interested in

NFU Mutual offer full EU cover. Only available by ringing one of their agents/branches. We used to have the 124 with them until we reached the saga age group. Their prices were very similar to Stuart Collins.

Liverpool Victoria, but reading your latest post I get it that you might be in Germany more than the U.K. That might be a problem and have you told them it's for 'work' rather than the usual pleasure? Therein may lie your problem: although I'm not suggesting you disguise that fact.

Some insurers include EU cover for a total of XX amount of days per year. - Others include EU cover for any number of trips, where each trip may not exceed XX number of days.
When getting quotes, ask which of the above applies.
However, your main residence/postal address/overnight location of the car, as well as the fact that you will be using it for business in the EU will need to be 'discussed'.

Admiral offers 90 days in calendar year with single trips up to 30 days. Policy says to contact them if your trip is longer than 30 days. I used my car for commuting in Germany for 4 months and in most cases never exceeded 30 days for one trip. I also assumed it would be rather difficult to check how many trips I did during calendar year and what was total number of days outside of UK. My residency didn't change, it was still UK address.
