Hiya!

I am going on holiday by car on 18th of July. I've already booked the tickets - Dover - Dunkirk - but I heard lately that I should also make an online payment for crossing the Queen Elizabeth II Bridge. It's just 2.50 GBP (one way), so not a big deal, but those who fail to pay can face a fine up to 105 GBP!

Did anyone go across Europe this year and can confirm it?

The last time I went to the Eastern part of Europe ,was about 4-5 years ago and I do not remember any charges on my way to Dover. However I was just a second driver and didn't even pay for the ferry

Have you got any other advice on my trip?

Where do you plan to go when you hit Dunkirk?

The QEII (Dartford Bridge/Tunnel) has always been a toll road. So yes, current prices are 2.50 each way for peak hours.

Prepay for it so you do not have to worry as there is no cash taken at the toll.
