Evening Tom
Welcome to the Forum :thumb:

Thanks folks, I'm busy annoying the wife with it all. Never even driven one so that's 1st on my list of things to do.......

Found a 2000 X with 139k and the guy wants 3995....... Will be driving it to see what I think to them!!

Luckily I have a friend who runs his own company specialising in Mercs!!!!

Why the diesel and not a petrol? The 350 and 500 V8 are cheaper and seem to always be better spec'd with Bose, leather, sat nav ex. Just a thought.

Running costs mainly. Mpg is a big thing, I will be going from a car that does 55mpg but still quick to the ml. The torque of a derv is something I like also :)

Hi

Don't be surprised if you get sub 30 mpg with the ML.

Better knowing before you buy. You could be looking at double your existing fuel costs.

I like that and budget could stretch to that price if needed........

We do autograss racing so a 4x4 is ideal for getting off a muddy field :)

Not enough clearance on the estate then. ML is your best option. Good Luck with the hunt.

Thanks, I'm looking forward to the hunt!!

:)

Thanks for all the welcomes btw :)
