Ever bought a car you couldn’t live with?

It was shite. Just shite. Misaligned gears in the balancer shaft pack located in the sump sounded like a buggered turbo. Known assembly issue that Volvo refused to deal with. Clogged DPF, melting plastic manifold. The civic diesel estate that I chopped in was far superior.
Finally px ed it for the Merc.
That’s very unfortunate.

My sister had 15 and an 18 plate that were faultless and our neighbour has got an 18 plate from new which again has been faultless.

My wife used to work for Volvo London and we’ve had loads of XC60’s without issue.

Mine was a 2016 VEA D4 2.0L Diesel. I believe that the VEA diesel engines are somewhat frail. The rest of the car was not bad in all fairness, but waiting for the next mechanical incident was wearing. Then the balance pack issue was the nail in the coffin.
I would have an XC90 5 Cyl in a flash.

Fair enough.....but personally I thought you might say that is was dull and uninvolving to drive drive and feels about as disconnected from the road as any car I've driven.....but your reasons are sound too!
I find Volvos dull to look at and drive....chosen by accountants and school run mum's.......
But being a biker and having nearly lost my left arm to one (still have about 60 screws and 4 plates in there).... I may be biased. All any biker the marques to be careful around when on the roaf....Volvo will be high on the list!
