Glow plug warning light on. Dealer storey so far:
1. 20-pounds plus labour which is not high if it's on cylinder 1, which it was.
2. Found leaking rear back axle - 170-pounds (I hadn't seen any oil on garage floor which I did when the front axle leaked few months ago)
3. Glow plug is seized-up. Need to get a specialist in to remove. Add 150-pounds
4. Specialist wants fuel rails (I think it was) removed for access. Add another 2-hours labour which is going to be at least another 200-pounds.

So have gone from say 120-pounds to probably way over 600. Am just hoping that I don't have to write tomorrow with news about the head getting damaged in the process of removing the 20-pound glow plug....

I think I would consider getting the rest of the glow plugs changed at the same time. I'd hate to think another one could go in a couple of months and you would go through the same routine again.

With the proper kit it's going to be virtually impossible to damage the head, but that wouldn't be your problem as their specialist would have caused it..

As said, have all the plugs done now, just in case.
