What’s the point in quoting 40 year old data to the OP?That’s not much use : all my manuals give this information , below is just the first one I went to .

It is an example of what owners manuals always did , and still should , contain .What’s the point in quoting 40 year old data to the OP?
Wow, that's really shocking when you think about it.
Something else I would never think to check, just trust the wheels are doing their job especially if the tyres are staying up and causing no problem: could be a little too trusting maybe so perhaps I'll keep a closer eye on the tyre pressure from now on.
Crickey, only been on this forum 2 minutes and learning things already - good here in it?![]()
I normally refer to the flap as well , but I do look in the handbook for other things , and if I had doubt about the flap , I’d check the handbook .
I used also to refer to the large , usually Michelin , guides that once were on every garage forecourt next to the airline .
Did you not check tyre pressure regularly before?Wow, that's really shocking when you think about it.

Old school common sense!Did you not check tyre pressure regularly before?
I check all 3 cars and my motorcycle weekly. It only takes a few minutes per vehicle.![]()
Old school survival instinct!Old school common sense!
Even less space on the flap , and if people , as many now do , go on to fit non standard wheels , it is all up in the air .They don't do that any more... probably too many wheels and tyres options per model these days.
I typically check mine whenever I put petrol in . Any anomalies easily rectified when at the garage , but rarely needed .Did you not check tyre pressure regularly before?

Something wrong with you?No need to check my Merc.....its tells me.....like any other car in the last 15 years or so. When I do check they never lose much more than a pound a month max....I think weekly checking is excessive personally.....if you are losing air every week something is wrong.
these are standard wheels with the wrong recommended pressureEven less space on the flap , and if people , as many now do , go on to fit non standard wheels , it is all up in the air .
All of my manuals have contained lists of optional wheel and tyre sizes , but just the pressures for the standard wheels .
As said by others .What's the correct pressure and where do you find it?![]()
