In the second video ----first thing to acknowledge is you are dealing with a continental climate with extremes of hot and cold weather. The reviewer does two trips one in the summer 30c and one in the winter 0c over the same route. 2000 miles each time. Using the full heating capabilities in winter to stay comfortable he experienced a 20% to 30% drop in range at sub zero temperatures. He made full use of Tesla's supercharging facilities and found that charging the battery to 75% capacity rather than to full charge and stopping more often actually meant less time "off the road "because fast chargers slow their rate of charge at the last stage of charging to capacity In other words you have to drive an EV with a different mindset to an ICE vehicle. If you do this there is apparently no problem.

I like Jason’s efforts. He’s a genuine car fan, and he’s an engineer who provides real, verifiable numbers whenever he brings them up. He’s not a ‘fanboy’ of any kind, except perhaps a fan of cars in all their forms.

I really liked the one he did a while back where he “clarified” a Ford advertising stunt for their EV truck offering.

Another Tesla heads off to Copart.
