Mercedes Benz build quality went down the tubes...but that was after this model. This car has FSH and been cherished by more than one owner. It's History and Provenance are such that it was owned prior to my wife by the Parts Manager's Father here in Cambridge by the same company who supplied the car .. so the pick of the crop goes to the dealers' eh ? Anyways this example is truly exceptional. No rust or signs of rust anywhere. Perfect paintwork...beautiful colour(Pearlite Grey ) and inside and out virtually concours ..
It comes with all history, Manual, Two sets of keys, Just MOT'd with NO advisories 102,000 miles and still feels tight ……All electric windows working perfectly as is the sun roof. Unusually the drivers side seat squab is still in perfect condition also. It came with the original large size rubber mats front and rear; therefore the carpets are as new as can be expected. The Blaupunkt Cambridge Radio/cassette even has a "Blank" piece to deter thieves viewing such a precious item !! It has the original sales literature, Data card, Manual, Radio instructions etc... even a customer survey leaflet from the dealer.
In fact the worst part of the car is the front number plate which has discoloured slightly, however I am loathe to change this as it still has the original dealers' suppliers name on it... All in all if you are looking for an eminently usable classic car ; which has no trouble whatsoever in keeping pace with todays demands of modern traffic, the 190e has to be considered . It even has ABS ! All in all a great example of this over engineered model.
