note not a MB, but a Jeep;)

Few months ago I replaced the backbox and cat for new ones (ebay), the cat is the type where the pipes slide into it and has A clamp on each end.

Have noticed recently that where the front pipe and cat join, it is blowing quite a bit from round the top of the join area, and a little from the other side of the cat(expected I guess from the amount blowin at front) as well.

Tried tightening Clamps, but don't want to go to far and break them

Whats best / quickest way to resolve, ie more clamps, cut pipe at 12,6,3,9 if so how deep.

help pls

Im not sure if this is stating the obvious, or whether you've done it already but i think you need a liquid gasket sealant of sorts to ensure an air tight seal between sections.

Arey the genuine exhausts of copies?

The copies are often of poor quiality and are hard to seal. Use GunGum in a tin to help seal joints. It goes off well and is flexible.

Not genuine parts, they would have cost more that car, lol

I thought you couldnt use things like gungum or sealents before a cat, in case of damage.

cheers
