Exhaust fixed cost all of £15

After gearbox repair i noticed the tailpipes were pointing down a bit, quick look revealed ex rubbers were u/s one split other fell to bits, spent ages looking on net for replacements, gave up went to local ex place and not only did he have them also fitted the pair for the princely sum of £15.

Then asked him about some cheapo tyres for my spare set of 16" rims and he quoted me £8 per tyre less than my usual place.

Not often im impressed with prices but he managed to make me smile.

not bad, but you could of got them from MB and fitted yourself cheaper

saying that, for £15 its not worth the hassle.

Thats what i would have done but it not a std 430 rear box a previous owner has had a amg lookalike jobby in stainless fitted, which unfortunately makes the rubbers bit special.

Guy had a right job fitting them he reckoned they made the box and pipes to suit screwed the rubbers up the welded the small hangers to the box making replecement a right pig.

All in well worth £15.
