Exhaust Heatshield

Hi Chaps, noticed a rattle as I pulled out of drive over the weekend, looked under car and the heatshield above back box was resting on the backbox as the 10mm nuts had corroded through the heatshield itself. I managed to undo one of the nuts (nearest one) and put a larger steel washer in place to hold it up but not sure what condition the nut etc further away is in. Can the heatshild be replaced without removing the backbox section just by taking it off the rubber hangers in order to get at everything. Thanks Paul

I would say that it is a 'suck it & see' unless somebody knows better? Rather oddly, you may find that your local KwikFit will sort this out for you for a drink. Much easier with a ramp.
