Exhaust manifold cracked :(

As title, have had a blowing sound from the front section of my exhaust for a little while and today it was confirmed the manifold is cracked.

Car is a w208 clk 230k

I was really hoping it was the rear of the exhaust so I could just get a nice cat-back system

What are my options for getting this fixed? I live in hertfordshire so any local members input would be greatly appreciated!
Is it a DIY job? Access to the manifold looks like its a air filter/supercharger out jobby?

Also - Could I fit a different manifold (eg a 320/430/55) for better performance whilst im at it?

Just had a thought, it MAY not be cracked... maybe its the gasket?

Check for manifold gasket leak FIRST then if manifold crack can pro be welded look at cost of manifold against weld

Dont leave too long as sensors in cat will pick up on leak or cat may be damaged

i have done it on my c200k. i can do it for you if you choose not to go down with the stealers.they offered me a new one including labour for 800. instead i have spent 20 on plasma welding and 10 on a gasket.obviously i had no charge for labor diagnosing it was easy i put down my hand and felt the blow also CEL light came on.helps?

i can send you a photo of it,plasma welding is quite permanent!also the reason for my crack: Fritz in the factory grinded off too much of the factory welding due to crap work so from thermal shock after a while cracked and ran through the 2/3 of the lip where the 2 half pieces joining.
