The outer skin on the rear silencer (2007 CLK, 120k miles) has corroded around the tailpipes. The tailpipes, welding and inner skin all appear solid with no issues except for the surface rust.
To slow down further corrosion I was thinking of cutting away the loose bits of outerskin with snips, wirebrush surface rust, applying kurust and then spraying with very high temp aluminium paint - is it worth it or should I leave as is? Any other recommendations?
Thanks
