Expensive, CL55 AMG (N/A)

Will, i went to have a look at the CL. Not quite mint, as Andrew would put it "Corrosion between the N/S C Pillar and the Wing. The rest of the bodywork was in very good condition. The interior was in good order but needed a professional valet and the colour was very different to the photo's, a sort of Banna ice cream colour. Full exclusive leather, Alcantara headlining etc. All the wheels needed full refurbishing and it needed a "B" Service which at that mileage would need Plugs etc etc.

Far to much money for a Pre-Facelift. I was not to impressed with the outfit selling it either.

Ok so the wheels needed a refurbish, we are talking what 2-300 quid, and if it was far too much money why waste your time to even view the car. We have an excelllent repuation of selling top quality cars, but you obviously had pre conceived ideas about the price of the car so there was no need to attempt to belittle the car. I find prospective buyers like yourself very frustrating as you do not seem to accept the car is a 2001 model and now 9 years old!! Expecting it to be "like new" is not realistic, even if the price is 16K!! We had a huge interest in the car and I am glad it went to a person who was genuinely appreciative and happy with the car:) Sorry for what may appear to be a rant but the new owner of this CL told me about some of the negative comments posted about this CL on this forum which I was dissapointed to see... Lee,

You are very lucky i actualy came to see your car. It was only because of the unusual interior colour, which you could have had valeted before putting it up for sale.

If you had been a little more honest and put in your advert Corrosion N/S C-Pillar and Wing, i would not have wasted my time coming to see the car in the first place and all the other people you say where interested , that wasted there time coming to see your car !!

That Corrosion will come back time after time. Do you know anything about CL's, judging by the stock you had outside you house i doubt it very much. I hope the final price reflected that.

Wheels that are refurbished correctly are at least £50.00 each, at least as they where curbed very badly.

I don't know how you can present a car for sale in that condition

You told me you bought from some Fire Sale.

And please don't preach to me on how to buy a car.

I hope the new owner is satisfied with the work that you did for him as he mentioned on the forum he use to be in the wheel refurbishment business, i just hope he can get MB to sort out the Corrosion.

Please don't let MB take it to Brentford!!

May i suggest you invest in Spell Check as well as a good Valet.

Oh and welcome to the Forum.

There's a lot of positive comments on here as well.

You really need to get off your high horse, you come across as a very arrogant and patronising individual, you should re-read what you just posted!! Huh, i'm very very lucky that someone like you came to view my CL??!! Is this a joke or an actual serious statement!! Do I have to have 10 CL's for sale at a time to satisfy someone like you?? No, we do a variety of cars, we do an increasing amount of Mercedes-Benz and for a nit-picking sod like you to post rubbish on a forum like this is below the belt. Looks like you need to learn a few things about realism and some manners too.

Welcome to the forum. I'm sorry it's not in more amicable circumstances.

The nature of forums means any car can be discussed ad infinitum. Try not to take it so personally. It is after just a piece of metal. There was at least one person happy with the car, the buyer and that's all that matters really.

Absolutely.

Reading what i initially said about the car i thought it was a fair criticism. I also congratulated the new buyer when he became a member of the Forum and was very pleased for him that he liked his new wheels, although they did need refurbishing

A sensitive car dealer, whatever next ;) :D
