Experience with HIDS Direct LTD

;)I am glad that you are entertained by purely nothing!

Not only that you are the very immature character on the forum trying to construct a slanging match over something that you quite clearly know nothing about hence the response of blue light being only for Police or emergency vehicles. These bulbs are in fact as stated before A white light with a slight blue tint.

I have not lost a discussion what so ever I have proven the facts made clearly in the attachments that you have obviously gone onto.

You are being called grandpa for your comments and lack of knowledge on HIDS kits and Xenon bulbs and being sooooo old fashioned and ridged with the times, therefore some may say GRANDPA!!!!

And to make this quite clear to you I have NOT what so ever ranted about anything but only stating my experience with a company and bulbs they have supplied me with, and now have quite clearly resolved the issue by replacing them with a new set of bulbs that are now what I call quality.

After all who was it that was actually band from the forum??? Think that was possibly you!!!!!

I have 4500 in my C55 and they are blueish. If you have been stopped 4 times by the Police are you starting to spot a trend here? I would you hate your 5th stop to be an HGV coming towards you. Your chart may not make a good headstone.

Only stopped as my HID KIT was soo bright and I will continue to do modify my vehicles as I please. After all at the end of it I won every time! :D

Happy motoring......:p

Of what relevance is that, and which time do you mean...it's been pretty often. ;)

BTW: The word is Banned...

Yep, you won...but four times your time was wasted...yep you won.

I have 5000k HIDs in mine and they are too white, a yellow hint is much better, not only is it easier to see things but the light output is better too.

This chart shows a 55w HID and the amount of light output (lumen) vs colour temperature (Kelvin)...

8000k will give you roughly half the output of 4200k, but will be around 50% better than a standard halogen bulb.

if your car has not got a projector style headlight you will loose up to 20% more light through scatter too, so at that point an 8000k HID may not be any better than a decent halogen bulb like the Nightbreaker.

But that suggests a 55w 8000k HID has less output than an H7 halogen...are you absolutely sure??

I think you need to read my original post and other posts - I have factory bi xenon headlamps BUT have upgraded the former halogen fogs with a 55W HID kit which is considerably brighter (and is rated up to 400% brighter than the standard 51w halogen fog kit) hence luminance is not the issue here or is being compared to 4300k bulbs - no where did I state that an 8k bulb has higher luminance than a stock 4300k bulb???

Read the post carefully...the 8000k bulb is no better than a good (Nightbreaker plus) Halogen. Nowhere near 400% better...closer to 0% better.

They only spoke to me for approx. 3-4 mins on each occasion tops - wow. Now they don't even bother when they see me drive past so yeah I have won as they used to threaten to issue me with a ticket on the spot every time unless I complied and switched the HID kit off which they referred to as fogs and I refused to switch the HID kit off as per above.

Like I said the 55W HID kit is rated as being up to 400% brighter than the standard halogen bulb and after all I have tested this versus upgraded halogen bulbs and can tell you for a fact that the 55w HID kit is considerably brighter and lights up the road hell of a lot more better than the standard 51W halogen setup!

Forgot to mention - in case you did not realise the colour of xenon bulbs shifts over use with time hence your stock 4300k bulbs appear to have a blueish tint now!

I think that you are the one that is mistaken here.

Firstly, your table is not in English and does not state its source. Secondly, we are comparing HID kit HB4 xenon v HB4 halogen bulbs not H7!!!

Just polling 'opinions' here and not sure what everyone else thinks, but I find there are few things more annoying and guaranteed to raise the blood pressure than some pr*ck with frigging searchlights where their headlights should be, irrespective of what frigging colour they are. The same goes for people that insist on having their fog-lamps on at all times. Switch them off.......please.

Happy Face.

A bit like your posts. :D

It's a chart with numerical values displayed. It doesn't need the legend to be in English.

Err. I thought the normal complaint is that they have gone more yellow as they age.

Ohhh Grandpa - silly me - I should have made it a bit more clearer for you to understand with your old age the chart is in Chinese and does not state what product it is......
