I think that the video's of the above event should got to the Police regardless of this times outcome.....the next recipient of their anger might not be as lucky as you. From what you say the Police will have more than enough evidence to prosecute. People like that getting away with behaviour like that again and again annoy me a lot....

The video was sent to the Police.

Oh dear...
Oh dear Ursula, next time you negotiate a €31 billion deal with a pharmaceutical company via text messages try not to erase the messages afterwards. Oddly enough old Ursula also managed to wipe her phone back in 2018 when she was Germanys defense minister in charge of awarding contracts.

Welcome to Ursula's banana republic.

Whatever it is you think, I'm not interested. But I do know that aside from many other 'benefits', Brexit is now the reason I can't go even go through some EU border control points with my own wife who is an EU citizen - so you'll understand if I don't share your sentiments....

Just imagine if Lady Michelle Mone was a Labour MP. 🤔

No wish to start the leave /remain argument but your wife's nationality isn't really relevant.

If she was American, Japanese, Australian or Indian etc then unless she had duel nationality prior to Brexit she would have used a different control point and having travelled quite a number of times since Brexit we haven't been held up at any Border control for any longer than a few minutes more than prior to Brexit.

You could, if it bothered you that much, apply for citizenship of her home country? Other methods are also available.

With respect, my experience is different. Berlin 2021, took me nearly an hour to get through immigration, my wife took less than 5 minutes. I will be applying for an EU passport soon enough.

But my previous comments stand. If she had not held an EU passport then you would have been subject to different passport controls previously.

Since Brexit we have been through passport control on two occasions in Italy, each took under 5 minutes and once in the Nederlands, that was even quicker.

The delay you endured at Berlin is also, with respect not proof of this being due to Brexit. A number of German airports in the experience of myself and friends that regularly travel through Berlin and Hamburg for example is less than good.

The supposed German efficiency is not always in evidence in some parts of the country.

The UK and the EU both need to start working with more speed on smoothing out areas that are of common interest and find ways that we can co-operate to each others advantages whilst also respecting the democratic choices each have made in terms of political direction.
