I had cause to be in the dealers today (picking up even more parts for the C32) and right next to the desk was a silver facelift S212 E350 CDi.
As luck would have it, I had 10 minutes to kill while waiting for them to bring me my parts , and this gave me the opportunity to look over the car for a relatively long time.
Besides the literally humongous exhaust exits, it really impressed me; the nose was maybe slightly too upright but those bits aside, I really liked it. The weird Ponton creases on the rear arches seemed to have vanished as well which makes the rear quarter a lot less fussy.
Still a shame that they're not a twin headlight anymore, but in the flesh it is a lot better looking than in the press shots.
