Morning all at risk of this thread going completely sideways I thought I'd cast it into the wind and give it a go.

I was picking my daughter up last week and pulled up behind a Mercedes (probably C180) with a crooked AMG badge instantly without thinking pointed it out to my daughter who's eyes flicked up and back down at her phone.

So I thought it would be fun to for people to post either there encounters, funny mod fails from eBay or dash cam snap shots, glued on exhaust tips ... well you get the idea . do you own an AMG and pulled up next to a fakey with a big smile on face :D.

Only rule #1 - We don't really want to turn this into an AMG line discussion for the purists keep it fun and funny if we can.

Not limited to Mercedes I'd love to see a BMW with a porsche turbo badge on too.

I was one of those pillocks...... There said it.

But I was a great car and looked awesome in fake C43 guise.

But now with the AMG A35 I love coming along side FAKIES and give them some pops and crackles from the exhaust. Childish but so satisfying. [IMG][IMG]

Aww I love it! It is a bit childish but it's the childish things that make us smile.

The one I saw the AMG badge slanted to the right with eBay exhaust tips, I indicated and over took effortlessly with my pokey little V6. A true AMG driver would have none of that sort of behaviour and would swiftly put me in my place.

I often drop the hint at getting an AMG but SHWMBO has none of it :( I'm allowed when the kids are grown lol.

If you drive a 'fakie' , does that make you a fakir ?

OK , lets keep this light hearted. I have a few photos on my iphone of such cars but the files are always too big to post. There is a W204 C class saloon not far from where I live that is all 'AMGeed' up, the owner has gone to some length and cost to achieve the look but has left the 220d badge on the back.

It might be his way of saying 'look guy's I know it's not an AMG alright ? I just like the look of an AMG'. Harmless.

I have seen a bright red Vauxhall Zafira B rebadged as a Ferrari complete with prancing horse emblems on each front wing. Where did I see this ? .....Swindon. I was too taken aback to take a photo of it.

    I have these two crackers

Picture 1 is a picture taken by someone who’s at it themselves with dodgy mods... who when challenged told us everything we saw on his car was from the factory because it was some kind of special edition!

Picture 2 I took myself, can you spot what’s wrong?

Agreed .....I don't see a problem with people using AMG parts on their cars (MB themselves did it with mine) but AMG badges on anything that is not a real AMG :eek::eek:

Yep! Left hand drive vehicle too so I had to really stretch across and climb over the passenger to take the shot, potatoes are slippy!

^^^^ It's got Affalterbach badge on the steering wheel but AMG is not printed anywhere on the speedo or rev counter. A very special model indeed !!

Yep, the OP of that photo I screenshotted, posted that picture with the intent to belittle the other car owner for having an AMG badge, but got slain for his use of cheap (IMO ghastly) paddle extensions, and the affalterbach badge. He claimed his car was infact a special edition from the factory, which came with that badge on the wheel as standard

    Only AMG w205s were the C43, C63 and C63s.

    No special editions.
