i was hoping someone would say that!!!
i'm considering a valved exhaust, definitely getting a remap (ecu and trans) which i believe should alter the exhaust note but it would make sense to get the exhaust first although i was kind of hoping the remap would scratch that itch!
what sort of costs are involved in the IPE? i'm sure i read somewhere £1600 and £2000 with sports cats? maybe that was the headers.

Remap will alter the note, more snap and crackle to the exhaust.
The exhaust is awesome though, with the valve closed probably quieter than stock but with the valve open much deeper and angry note....
Ref the map-It depends if you are going for the full exhaust (manifolds + valved exhaust) or just the exhaust.
If you do the full system then you will require the Eurocharged LTH map (550BHP) if its just the exhaust then the standard V4 eurocharged map (520bhp)
Speak with Acid at MSL he fitted mine and would be able to sort a good price.

Sounds silly.
My car with secondary decat sounds very similar, maybe not quite as loud but identical sound.
A pal of mine just had an x pipe fitted and a remap last week. He was expecting the car to be louder than mine and it is not. Sounds more high pitched V8.

That is just eargasmic!!! I've been reading different posts on 'enhancing' the C63's exhaust notes. I'm very eager to get mine done however I don't want to end up doing the wrong thing. I might contact Acid in the next few days and get some advice/quotes - but this F1 merc is exactly how I'd like mine to sound.
I was in Monaco this weekend and i thought the same thing the C63 sounded much nicer than the SLS it didn't sound stock!
And i would also like to add the GP2 sounded epic i feel F1 has lost "that" sound, Monza last year i needed ear plugs!
