I just love this photo from todays aborted qualifying.. :)

Anyone staying up to see quali at 2am and then live race at 7?

I know two people that are... :)

Got up at 5am today and qualifying was cancelled. :( Will be up to watch it tomorrow, then back to bed , then up just before 7am for the start of the race.

New coverage details:
Sunday 10 October
Qualifying: 0150-0300, BBC One/online and BBC Radio 5 live sport extra/online
Race: 0600-0915, BBC One/online and BBC Radio 5 live/online

Yep. I'll be there at 2am. At last, a use for this infernal insomnia!!!

Full repeat later on BBC1 at 13:10.

Not that I'm shy to waking up early, but I'll be out driving early tomorrow just for the pleasure of it, so will miss the live race. Weather is forecast to be very good. Get your cars out the garages!

Very odd. I didn't notice the star when I saw the pic and my immediate thought was a puzzled "They're using a some Porsche model as a safety car".

Oh yeah!!! Never noticed the similarity before!!

Everyone holding out OK? :D Just 2 1/2 hours to go.... :) Just watched a brilliant movie called DeJavu!

Time for some coffee... :D

Think I've seen that before .. :D

Do I stay up?

I just cant make the decision. I have run out of beer too. Bugger

The only advantage of wifey being away right now is the chance to stay up and watch it live, so no matter what, I'm gonna do it! :D

No sleep for this insomniac, so roll on 2.00am, then 6.00. Then I will try some sleep!

More to the point though, looking forward to both quali and race. Narrow track so quali is all to play for for the race, and still a 5 way battle.
Hard to imagine the circuit will be bone dry for quali or race start, so changeable conditions should keep them all on their toes.
Mistakes made today will wreck championship chances. Roll on 2.00 am.

Hamilton will incur a 5 place penalty for gearbox change. :thumb:

Great exhaust note from the car as it aquaplaned its way around the course....has an F1 race ever been cancelled due to poor weather conditions?...hope this doesn't happen and feel for all the poor spectators who paid out good money to see....well not a lot!....where was Jake?

He is in India to present the BBC coverage of Commonwealth games.

Had forgotten about that. Serious knock for the lad.

has an F1 race ever been cancelled due to poor weather conditions?...

Not that I know of, which is not the same as 'no'!

I remember watching a (non championship I think) F1 round in UK in the early 70s and snow was falling. They raced on.

Im guessing the two includes meeeee as one of them and you the other ? lol
