Factory amplifier

Hi everyone. Apologies if you've answered this question already but I have a 2009 e220 cdi w211 which I'm hoping to change the head unit but can't find the factory amp anywhere in the boot or the car. Am I right in thinking some models don't have fibre optics or external amp. I have a single CD unit with built in Bluetooth and that's it. No changer

Correct, some have a separate amp, some do not. Email me your vin number to [email protected] and I can advise more.
