I was planning to fit an aftermarket reversing camera, since my aftermarket CarPlay box will support one. But I'm now thinking that I might prefer to retrofit a factory camera, and I'm looking for some guidance.
As far as I can tell I need the camera (A2078200897), the control module (A2128270006), the cable between them (part number?) and presumably a cable to connect the control unit to some other module (which one, and which cable?).
If I get hold of all those bits, would the module then need to be coded to the car, or will it detect it automatically? I've looked in the engineering menu, and I've seen an entry that appears to allow me to select which type of reversing camera I have (currently it's the 'not installed' type), so would this allow me to enable the camera by myself, or is a trip to STAR/Xentry system required?
