Has anyone run either the FK510 or Rainsport 5 on a high performance car?

Both these tyres seem to get excellent reviews and are priced incredibly reasonably.

Thanks!

Not used either of those exact models as they are fairly recent replacements of others. Used the predecessors, and currently run on the Rainsport 3's. They are at the top end of the mid range tyres and I would put them on any reasonably power road car. I'd think about it if it were something more powerful like a C63 due to wear, but on the family car no problem.

Both the predecessors are excellent tyres, so no reason these shouldn't be. Rainsport's had slightly more grip than the Falken's bit the Falkens lasted longer.

I have FK510 on my beast, for one season. at the back I have moderate wear 1mm since last March.
Very impressed with the ride and comfort
It breaks and drives well on wet.
I cant compare on Rainsports
Good luck

Which car do you have? I’ve got a C32

Friend with a CLK55 has uniroyals which he likes

I've always used Falken's since 2008 on my S-Class . Very good.

From what I’ve read;

the Uniroyals are slightly better in the wet, but the Falkens have the lead in the dry and in terms of handling?

Have gone for the Falken FK510s

I ran my last car on Uniroyal Rainsport 3's, previous cars have Goodyear Asymmetric's on and I switched them out for the Rainsports and the Uni's before I sold it on. They handled better in the wet and were noticeably quieter.

I currently have Eagle F1's, it's hard to quantify as the Merc is a totally different beast to a Skoda Superb L&K Estate but I'd say the Uni's were quieter over rubbish motorway surfaces (you know, when they couldnt be bothered with asphalt and appear to have thrown down concrete instead :D).

Another reason I liked the Uni's was they cleaned up well. I don't know what it is about the Eagle F1's but they don't look as aesthetically pleasing once cleaned and dressed up. Then again, I am a bit strange !!

I could agree with the cleaning up bit.
