I seen these fitted on a c180 the other day. The tread looks good and chunky, directional tread also, but I know nothing about their performence or life span

Background

FALKEN TYRES are part of the Sumitomo Rubber Industries Ltd (SRI), headquartered at Kobe, Japan, is one of the leading manufacturers of tires globally. The group is the second largest producer of tires in Japan, after Bridgestone Corporation. The Tires segment manufactures tires for construction vehicles, buses, trucks, passenger cars, race & rally vehicles, agricultural vehicles and motorcycles. The group’s products are sold under various brand names including Falken, Dunlop, Sumitomo, Goodyear and Ohtsu. SRI carries out manufacturing operations in North America and Europe through its joint venture with The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company and also has many overseas subsidiaries in Indonesia and China.
I guess you could call them a japanese GOODYEAR.

Just considering some new wheels now I have sorted the other minor snags on my likkle runaround. Noticed there was an option to fit Falken's with the wheels I would like from Alloywheels direct.
They sounds OK thus far.

Have no use of Falkens but have just swapped to Firestones 7000 from Conti ecocontact and the change is a real eye opener in a good way.
I will be posting a little write up later.

I don't know anything about Falken, but with regard to tyre tests, I would offer the following advice: do not assume that the performance of a certain model of tyre (say, for example, the Michelin Pilot Primacy that I have on my car) is representative of all tyres of that brand. Even within model categories of the same brand, there can be significant differences in the characteristics and performance of tyres. So, any tests and comparison tables should only be considered valid for the exact models of tyres tested.

I have a pair of Falkens on the front of my E220. Good grip, quiet, long lasting and economically priced. They get a thumbs up from me.

I had a set on a Mondeo a few years back (stop sniggering lol), they had good grip and were nice and quiet but I found the front ones wore out after about 10,000 miles, the back ones still had very good tread on them though, I'm guessing they'll last longer on a RWD car with the weight being distributed rather than it all being up front like the Mondeo.
