Mk2 Vito (W639) cdi115
So I recently bought this Vito:

its in decent condition and only has 28000 on the clock.
its a 110cdi auto box.

Anyway, its an ex transport vehicle for a charity and registered as an NHS vehicle.
The interior has loads of bits for wheelchairs, a ramp and 2 fold up seats at the back

I'm gutting it to convert to camper.

what are the auto boxes like in these? it seems tight and nice at the moment, but what is there to look out for?

I've had it undersealed and whacked some nice alloys on it:

I'm currently looking for a bench seat or 3 individual seats to fit the Unwin/Koller rails or info on fitting a viano back seat into it - any info gratefully received.

Anyway, I hope to be around on this forum quite a bit - so hello!

The auto gearbox in the W638 is not a Mercedes one. It has the ZF 4HP20, which was widely used in many other makes & models (Renault, Peugeot, Citroen, etc.):

If you Google it you should be able to find lots of info.!

I've had mine a month and i also love it.
My 4 year old daughter claimed that she wasn't coming beck in the house ever when she got in the first time.

If I could just get these seats sorted, I'd be over the moon.

Can someone show me some pictures of how the W639 rear/centre seats are attached underneath?

Hi & welcome firstly and great vans the 638 absolutely loved mine.. as far as the 639 rear seats they are fitted via captive nuts that are built into the floor pan of the vehicle.
