till "the establishment" made her buy a British Car--- a Jaguar XJS-- IIRC


She will of course always be associated with an S class Mercedes--sad that if she and Dodie had been wearing seat belts they would almost certainly have survived the fatal crash in the Paris Tunnel since if you have to drive into a concrete pillar at great speed -an S CLASS Mercedes was probably the best car in the world to do it in at the time.
