Hi Fuzzer,

Hope you have had a safe trip home. Hope the car problem that some of the guys were referring to isn't too bad.

May I have the part number for the W203 Avantgarde grill, please. As I said before, my other half has caught the modding itch and keep asking me if you have sent me the part number.

Thanks in advance.

Shame on you for not posting it in the first place! :)

Hello , sorry for the delay.

The part number is

A203 880 0183 Paint code : 9040

If you have any problems, ill give you a chassis number for them to look up on the EPC

why is there a paintcode on something unpainted?

There are two grills on the W203.

Both are in the " avantgarde" style with all the chrome.

The elegance one has silver painted slats.

The avantgarde one has black painted slats.

Are you sure they're painted? I would expect them to be solid moulded plastic, no paint on them.

What kind of grill does the classic have?

As far as i know they are painted.

The classis has the same crappy grill as the 202 had.

LOL. I told you didnt I, first one mod then the grill then........

Glad you are enjoying your car, it was nice to meet you both at the GTG. Happy modding.

Likewise, it was nice meeting you. The grill should keep Stephen happy until he finds out about another mod that he can do without ripping the car apart.

Regards,
swl

Heh warning, if the modding bug really bites, then Stephen won't mind 'ripping the car apart' to accomplish them and get that unique look :D :p
