Fastest car you have been in ??

Fastest car I've been "in", red bull rb9 that vettel won his last championship in.
Fastest car I've been driven in Ferrari 599 GTO at vmax a while back, maybe same event a few others have alluded to. Touch 182 and praise be to the technology gods I have a video on my phone. Epic.
Fastest car I've driven subjectively is probably a Porsche 996 gt2. Far too good a car for me to really enjoy properly!!

I was lucky enough to be the passenger I an R34 skyline GTR veilside combat 2, 1,256 hp! at Silverstone race circuit. I thought my tuned GSXR 1,000 was quick but that car was from another world. Very fast, very noisy, very thirsty, very expensive, and very not mine :(

Probably BMW 2002tii back then it was FAST.......

I think my current E63 is probably the fastest I've had. It's 730 or 670 hp (depending on which dyno you believe) and 800lbs (same on both).

In the past I've always had fast stuff, all the Ford hot stuff like RS Cosworths (4 of) inc one at 450hp, an M3, MK2 Escort with 250hp Pinto, but none of them are as fast even if they feel faster.

I regularly do trackdays at Donington. Used to do it on a zx6 but now I use a lovely Aprilia RSVR. Never been into cars until now. I did go out for a blast in my mates old tuned wrx and I didn't like it. Speed scares the hell out if me unless I'm in control of it!

A Mercedes SL500 driven by Peter Griffin, many moons ago. However, earlier than that even, a old school friend was at RAF Valley doing a conversion course to Tornado GR2's. As I was then in the military, I managed to get a spin in the back seat with Glyn in the front going through Snowdonia at ground level doing 500 knots. Now that was fast!

I am starting to wonder why I have fast cars in the UK because I now spend most of my time looking for speed cameras.
Fastest car I have been in was as a passenger in a 1000BHP Mitsubishi Evo 8 at Santa Pod.
Fastest car I have driven was a Formula Palmer Audi single seater
Car that I drive regularly too fast (and it feels even faster) is a TVR T350

Fastest car I have been driven in was a race prepared BMW M3 on a disused airfield in Suffolk some years ago. Bid for the ride in a Charity Auction and after 3 laps in the car seriously wished I hadn't! So quick and the brakes were unbelievable - think my head is still up there somewhere.

Maybe when I was 12 or 13 a golfing buddy of my dads bought one of the first E-Types. I got bundled in the back and seem to remember them saying it got to 130mph on the Longniddry bypass. I had the S211 at 120mph in Germany and that was enough for me. No speed freak I'm afraid.

"IN" ? Tony Pond's Metro 6R4 on the IOM - but only to sit in at the parc ferme on Douglas prom.

"DRIVEN IN" ? E36 BMW M3 Evolution. I owned it for a few years, then swapped it for an SLK. Limited to 155. Not that I ever went that fast…

"RIDDEN IN" ? Vauxhall Cavalier with a Firearms Officer at the wheel. Up to 75 in a built-up 30 limit, up to 130 on a rural road. Apparently he was "familiarising himself with the vehicle's handling while occupied", and I was "essential ballast" for the journey.

A demo drive in an Audi TT at Oulton Park SEEMED faster - the tyres never stopped squealing - but for outright speed it would be hard to beat the almost empty DC10 leaving Glasgow a few years ago … without the help of the Military, that is.

Forgot to mention the Ferrari I drove at Goodwood courtesy of a "Red Letter Day" purchased by Mrs W. That would have been quick but every time I put my foot down the passenger put the brakes on :fail

Supposed to go on to do 174mph without the limiter although I never tried.

That's why a Palmersport day is better. I considered doing one of those RLDs a while back but you are very limited. My car is quicker than a 360 anyway so would probably be a disappointment... :D
