AMG C43
I bought my C43 earlier this year in May with just over 45K miles FSH. Fantastic drive, very fast and sticks to corners. Basically a few weeks ago as I was accelerating on slip road to motorway fairly well I noticed a bit of light greyish smoke coming from the exhausts at rear of car. I was doing around 75mph on motorway and after about a mile the Red triangle warning light with skids on it (I think that is Traction or Stability warning) came on and then my car seemed to lose all power. I pulled onto the hard shoulder and the power was basically none existent. I switched engine off and waited a minute then switched engine back on, selected drive and still power didn’t seem correct, so I selected park, then reverse and just went backwards a few feet and selected drive again and then the power seemed to come back to normal. Since then I have been driving the car very carefully and it is driving fine, but if I give it any firm / hardish acceleration for more than a few seconds it pumps out a lot of smoke. I had the car fully serviced (Oil change, both air filters changed, new spark plugs) at a Merc specialist near me call LC Motors and the chap said all seem fine there was just a bit of mis-firing. There is something more to it then this I'm sure and wanted to ask other members here if they had come across anything like this before?
I called Mercedes Blackburn before taking it to the LC Motors and only took it to LC motors as Mercedes Blackburn just didn't return my calls. I am going to call them again tomorrow and visit the them.
If anyone can give any advice or have come across this before please could you let me know. Thank you.

Get an OBD scanner from a friend or buy one and see if there are faults stored, but 1st Take it back to the dealer to investigate if you have a warranty.

Does the smoke have a bluish tinge? If so I would suggest turbo seals. Are you using much oil?

Are you sure it's not white ie vapour= head gasket. Another member has just reported a low mileage head failure of this engine. You need a diagnosis from a reputable garage.

Actually yes white vapour. I will call Blackburn Mercedes to try and book in again, they don't like returning calls. If it is head gasket is that a big job?
