Hi,

I have a CLK430 on a '99 plate and for some reason the front passenger seat is now refusing to move forward for 'easy entry' like it used to .
Is there a way to fix it myself or is it a case of taking it to a professional and paying a fortune?
It sometimes moves slightly forward if it's all the way back but it always used to move even if the seat was quite far forward.

Any ideas would be great :)

David

We are having the same issue.. so far we have ruled out seat ECU, motors, wiring and now we suspect door switch... should know tomorrow..

its the door switch on my 209 that has stopped the headrest from working.....

the thread clk questions by will has raised the same seats issue SLD... so keep an eye on that one for member solutions ( I have the same on driver side only)

we have tried all else so can only think the first ECU must have been faulty so another is on order from germany... £210 + vat!

there are supposed to be companies around that can repair them... I had one repaired ages back and it cost me all of £20.. however I sent this one to BBA Reman (the dogs when it comes to ECU's) and they just sent it straight back...
