Hi, I have a 2011 w204 C250 coupe and this morning the engine coughed and died on the drive. I tried starting and driving a few times and got down the road but it kept coughing and eventually the engine cut out. 
There is no check engine light....
Had to call AA and when he arrived it actuall started and ran fine so I've driven it to the garage where it sits now. The AA bloke reckoned it was the fuel pump and I should get it replaced. I assume this won't be cheap!
Is his a common problem?
Is it possible it could be something else at fault? Or a part on the pump (not the hole thing?)
Any idea what the damage will be?
Any advice on things to check?
