Hi guys

I have been to look at a 2000 reg 230kompressor convertible. There seems to be a faulty with the passenger side window. As you put it up it only hoes half way and you have to lower it and repress up and it would fully close. Is this a common fault?

Thanks

Hi it looks like you will need to take off your door card to inspect it After you have removed the membrain or plastic cover ..Keep all you hands away from the holes in the door or you will trap them, or you may cut them very bad. After membrain removed, look for wires and make sure they are clean and making a good contact. If you can see dry pivots inside the door put a little oil on them or grease. Then give it another try. If it is no better you may have to replace the regulator and motor. I removed all the regulator and inspected it on the bench, put 12 volts to the motor to see if its working right. All regulators are not the same ,as some work with arms rivited together .But the models change from car to car .And some sport jobs use wire cables to acivate the window mechanics. This is just a check for you to do .and you could find the trouble.
