february update for tmc disc

according to my dealer there's some literature available sometime february concerning an update for the tmc anyone heard anything or know what it is?

Yes - been asking my dealer to provide v5 DVD which as quoted elsewhere in this forum is out there - after lots of back and forth seems that MB have stopped selling and will release on Feb 13 !? No reasons why though

I have just bought V5 dvd this morning from Merecedes Macclesfield. They have a few instock available on a first come first serve basis.

my dealer told me this afternoon, that the first batch has been problematic, they have sent them back and merc has recalled them from dealers. they are currently awaiting the more better version and they dont know when they will be along.

Mine is working fine, as is the one my business partner has. It even appears to have the roundabout issue fixed. Can you find out anymore ?

will see. maybes there are a few different versions of V5. the 4.1 was okay on roundabouts.

just didnt have some roads on it.

mind you, it did sedn me down a few wrong roads at the Oxford GTG. amusing tho it was at the time.

The dvd I bought from Mercedes Macclesfield are replacements for the recalled V5 disc

Not aware of any bullitin of a recall on the version 5 disc's (for E etc) and the part number remains unchanged from what I have seen. So not sure what all this is about will have to have a look into this on Monday as this sounds weird.

I do know that the Version 8.0 disc for the Audio 30aps has been delayed due to software integration issues as has the V5.0 disc for the C class, ML, A, B and Smart(the part number originally allocated has been removed as well), but nothing about the comand disc for the E class.

Whenever I speak with my dealer I tend to treat with great suspicion any type of excuse they give for car related information

Do you believe your dealer and will those folks that have already purchased their copy have it replaced???

While we are on the subject of nav cd's there is a new one for the Audio 50APS called Europe Ver.4.0 which includes TMC for the UK (Consists of 4 CD's). Part number B6 782 3496
