Ferrari 458 Speciale - Close Up Look, Interior

I can understand the appeal and it looks as a modern supercar should but sadly it leaves me somewhat indifferent. Whereas the Lamborghini Huracán ticks more boxes and brings back schoolboy memories of seeing my first supercar. And surely it must be cooler to say you drive a Lambo rather than a Ferrari. :D

Another wandering video. Sometimes the best moving pictures are still ones. Stop panning and zooming in and out. Surely this is basic?

Like the quote.....Ferraris are for people who want to be someone, Lamborghinis are for people who are someone. Or something like that.

mate has a Speciale .. he offered me the keys for a drive. I decided just to start it and rev it .. too valuable to risk driving it.

utter heaven .. the engine is super responsive, no inertia. it revs so quickly and effortlessly, revs fall away like from a cliff; it's quite stunning

the only Ferrari I lust after

I think it depends on the colour actually.

I prefer a Ferrari but I wouldn't buy a red one (bar dark red), or a yellow for that matter. It's a car I'd buy in a neutral low key colour. But then I'm interested in the FF which is a front engined GT car with 4 seats and a V12. The 8 cylinder cars don't interest me (bar the new GTC4Lusso T).

I wouldn't even consider a Lambo, firstly there's the practicality and secondly and for absolutely no basis or reason whatsoever I assume the driver of a Lambo is either a footballer a wannabe footballer or a tw@t. But again it's colour dependent. Lime green and citrus fruit colours or shiny wraps fall into the more money than taste category. Grey or silver look like completely different cars. The thing with this kind of car is the engine and shape do all the shouting it needs, it doesn't need a dayglow paint job unless you're attention seeking.

Of course the Muira is excluded from all of this as it's a work of art, but it's a Million £ car and also reasonably likely to spontaneously combust.

It's a very personal thing.

It is a personal thing, indeed.

I'm sure you can get a Lambo in a low key colour so that's not an issue only a matter of paying for it, I'll have dark blue thank you. :D Problem/problems solved. ;) And of course the Huracán has ten cylinders and not a turbo insight. Plus, I never see people in Lambo polo shirts or wearing other branded tat that Ferrari sell. :D

At my age I've stopped lusting after things and merely want a car equivalent of a nice cuppa and a hot water bottle.

The Volvo was inspired choice so...:D

The world of Lambo tat is alive and well and run by the founders son, Tonino.

No doubt it surely is, thankfully I don't see or notice it unlike the Ferrari tat. That's a big difference in my book but in fairness to Ferrari it's also a reflection on the fact that Lamborghini are not involved in F1. Really I just hate tat. ;)
