Fiat's innovative Ecodrive has just won a place in the annual Auto Express Awards. What I like about it is its simplicity which may encourage/allow people to use it.
It employs Fiats " Blue&Me" USB interface to download car running data to a PC for subsequent analysis to help drivers improve their driving economy. Incidentally using perhaps the first inroad of Microsoft to a mass produced car ( shades of things to come???
) it gives owners access to kinematic data previously only enjoyed by owners with sophisticated car onboard computer systems. Useful driver aid in today's economic climate, sop to the tree huggers among us, first mass market bridge of PC software to everyday motoring,
