hi people just curious i have a 2008 e 280 sport and have tried various diesel brands my problem is when filling with v.power it only takes around 23 ltrs and clicks of because the diesel is at the top of the filler it only happens with this brand no matter what station i use anyone else had this... cheers

Is it just that particular nozzle is overly sensitive to back pressure?

There's a couple at my nearest filling station which I can't go anywhere near full squirt or it trips out.

Obviously your fuel tank doesn't reduce to 23L when you're putting V.Power in... So have you tried again with the nozzle, or operating it slower?

Do you always use the same pump at the same garage when filing with VPower?

it happened when visiting my dad in devon i tried to fill but the diesel quickly came up and stopped the pump then ive tried different garages where i live its the same and ive tried going slower but no joy i can fill up with ultimate or normal diesel no probs its only v.power that this happens with

So it backs up the neck and trips the pump... Why don't you just pull the trigger again and carry on? Maybe the detergents in the premium fuel are increasing surface tension and so the air bubbles aren't popping as quickly, but no reason you can't just pull the trigger again and carry on?

ive tried that too leaving it to settle but it just comes back up again i may just use ultimate now

Try not to fit the nozzle at the full depth, try to hold it before it reaches the bottom and operate the handle. No risk of spilling out as the nozzle is still deep in the neck.
