finally got a E320 CDI but need help!

Hi all

I have finally replaced the S202 (C200) with a rather smashing S210 (E320 CDI 2000/X)
After looking at some terrible examples I have found one which has fairly sound bodywork (yes really) appart form the tops of the rear doors which have slight corrosion!
Engine sounds good and appart form the last service all have been MB which is encouraging. there is a small whiff of Diesel when i open the bonnet which i am hoping is a leak off weap, but i will have a look at this as its due a B service which i will do this week!

I have however an odd problem which i am wondering if any of you guys have ever experienced. I have wipers but only one speed, it doen't matter what position 1, 2 or 3 they just go at speed 2!

Any ideas?

2 other annoying things are that only 1 headlamp washer works and both sunviser flaps are missing , do you know if these can be got separately?

Anyway sorry to waffle on, I hope you can help.

Just got to sell the 202 now as drive looks like a merc car lot!!

Hi and welcome. You might want to considered rust treating the 210 to keep her nice. Apart from rust they are smashing cars.

Good advice Steve, I used to work in a Mercedes Dealer as Warranty admin at the time these cars were new and we saw some pretty bad corrosion cases, i think the worse was a 210 estate which had to have 4 new doors, a tailgate. bonnet, both front wings and an osr quarter panel replaced!

I have a friend in who worked at the same dealer as a technician and he has looked athe the wiper isssue and thinks its down to the rain sensor being blocked by a non MB screen.
