Well, I had some fun and games car was reporting a missfire on Cyl 1, swapping coilpacks with number 4 moved the fault, so without checking any further I went down the road of getting a new coil, after all it cant be both HT leads can it?
MB wanted £140, rang around and got sent a part from Europarts, cost £65 and was delivered next day.
When I went to fit it, the LT plug wouldnt insert all the way, so I took the coil back off, and tried to remove the HT leads, guess what, they wouldnt come out, no amount of tugging moved them, I ended up pulling so hard that the copper ends snapped off and remained stuck inside. The coil has been returned for a refund.
Lynall kindly offered to give me two HT leads but as I was now desperate to get my ride on the road, I bought new leads from MB, @ £25 each.
And thats all it was all along, two broken HT leads that were most likely damaged when I had the plugs done in its last service (non MB)
well, thanks guys for the assistance, and thanks again Lynall
