What Is the best way to find out if my AUDIO 20 has a fibre optic cable to the amp ? And where is the amp?

Does your car have a premium audio system i.e. BOSE or HK? If not no amp.

have been told that I may need to buy a 5 metre cable to reach into the boot. Is this in case I have an amp ?

That unit is not a genuine Mercedes one. Think carefully about it if I were you.

It is unlikely you have the amp in your car. Very few W203's with Audio-20 had HK fitted (except C55's).

If you want to email me your chassis number I can tell you exactly if you have the amp or not.
