It really is a lovely colour, gets so many positive comments, so it really is a shame. Think the majority have had the dreaded paint issue, mine's no exception unfortunately, but I knew that when I bought it & I was prepared to sort it at my own cost when I have to.

Well with this colour you get micro blisters,MB have had loads resprayed under warranty ,but as you can see this car is 2012 and so the op will have to pay fro the respray himself,I maybe wrong but the last opal red car from MB would be around 2015,I do not think it is a current colour,this problem has caused opal red cars to fetch less money when sold,a shame it is a great colour

Hmm , I’ll bet that if this was in the US there would be some class action getting cars resprayed no matter if out of warranty.

Does It only apply to C class, or other models too. Saw a Fire Opal AMG GT advertised the other day.......

Applies to any Fire Opal car although not every car with the paint is affected.

Had a 2015 C204 in Fire Opal (C220d not a C63). Loved the colour, but it did suffer from micro blistering, so it went.
