For the first time since buying the car a few months ago, I decided to check the First Aid Kit only to find it wasn't there .

Can anybody tell me which, if any, other Mercedes models came with the same shape First Aid Kit as my CLK? That way it should be easier/cheaper to source a replacement.

Have a picture of a bad ass CLK as thanks.... not mine unfortunately.

Oh dear.

Let's do a poll, how many of us have ever used the first aid kit?:D

Nice car BTW.

I know. I know.

I probably won't use it either. But for all we know, the zombie apocalypse or similar disaster is just around the corner, and being prepared with a first aid kit in my car will help me sleep better at night.

You should be able to pick one up on eBay - but you may have to look hard as by all accounts it is a *rare* item :D

MB will want silly money for a new one .

Just get a used one from eBay to get the proper container - then throw all the contents away as they'll be past the use by date , and get a new kit from Boots , Halfords or wherever and put those into the MB package .

I think the last time i checked it was about £100

A2028600050 - so same as a W202, so getting one won't be a problem - £56 for a new one from MB or about £10 from the breakers.

I bought one for 99p about 4 years ago from a well known internet auction site.

Ended up as our buliding site first aid kit. Posh or what.

Whether it had gone past it's sell by date I never found out but the Polish guy who managed to slice the top of his finger off didn't complain. Much.

Agree with Pontoneer - get the right box/packing and then replace contents with new from a generic one. the original contents are probably past the use by dates anyway. plastics become unsticky etc. this is what I did.

If your going past Colchester Essex anytime soon you can have my one for a drink, my MB has moved on and the kit got left behind.

I describe the shape 'old phone type'!? from 2003 C220d

do you mean the one that sits in the parcel shelf behind the headrests? lid with a twist catch? or are you after a removable box?

I have never open the first aid kit on any of my cars,,,,,, but it nice to have the car complete !
