CLK200 K Cabrio
Hi, I am a Newbie to the forum and to Mercedes. This weekend I bought a 2005 A209 CLK 200 Kompressor. For my first Mercedes I am very pleased with the quality and feel and hope it will be a reliable car. BUT, I have noticed a steady stream of White / Grey smoke from the exhaust when holding the throttle at around 2000 rpm. The obvious worry (to me) is the supercharger or Head gasket (from reading various posts). I just wondered if anybody could give me some advice that might put my mind at ease. I bought from a car dealer and before I go back to them thought I would visit a Merc Specialist to get a proper opinion and or healthcheck. I am hoping for the best outcome here but fear the worst.
Incidentally the smoke is not always visible at tickover !
Any welcoming thoughts and opinions appreicated. Thank you

I would seek an opinion from a MB indi before returning the car to the dealer if necessary. I'd also contact the previous owner, their details should be on the V5 document for the vehicle. He should be able confirm any issues with the car and why he sold it.

Smoke or steam? It's cold out there.
