First Merc

Hi, just joined the forum and thought I would just say hello, it looks like there will be a lot of good info and advice on here. I’m in North Ayrshire so will be on the lookout for a good indie once my warranty runs out.

Picking up my first Merc on Wednesday, an immaculate 2004 C220 CDI Elegance SE with 27K on the clock, main dealer purchase so the mileage is genuine I would think.

Just getting to grip with the number terms on here instead of models, ie 201, 203 etc.

Looking forward to getting, and hopefully giving some feedback on this.

Hi & welcome, the model numbers are the first 3 numbers of your chassis number.

Hope you enjoy the car when you get it, in terms of your car the model designation is W203.

To help you get used to MB model numbers go & buy April's copy of 'Mercedes Enthusiast' (Wh Smiths sell it), as its got a load of the models with pics in it.
