Hello all.

I'm sure I have been a member here before but as my account seems to have vanished (a GDPR thing?), I'll reintroduce myself. I'm based in Northamptonshire and have been an on-and off MB owner for a few years having had:

W203 C270CDI Avantgarde saloon
C209 CLK270CDI Avantgarde coupe (x2)
A208 CLK320 Avantgarde cabriolet
CL203 C220CDI Sport coupe
W211 C320CDI Avantgarde saloon
C207 E350 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY coupe (pre facelift)

And now I have a CLS350CDI Grand Edition coming to grace my drive for a while. As it's an older car needing a few small jobs, I hope I'll be able to get some of the help from here like I had previously.

Picked up the CLS today and enjoyed the 25 mile drive home. I was worried I might feel I'd taken a real step down from a 2013 Audi A7 to a 2010 CLS but needn't have worried.

Immediate thoughts? Plenty of poke but not quite as instant as the A7 - 7G is a bit slower than PDK. The 18" wheels are a lot quieter than the 21's on the A7.

Jobs to do: Sort out the bodywork with couple of rust spots and a couple of areas where the lacquer's gone. Get a cable to connect the iPod to the media interface. Replace the wiper blades and enjoy...
