First time Merc owner, first issues!

Hi all, new/first time Merc owner here (came from a F11 BMW). Just bought a S213 E350d (AGM Line Premium) - loving the torque from Stage 1 remap and the digital cockpit, but extremely worried about my 20" turbine alloys getting damaged (<--is this a when, not if?).

A week into the ownership, I got several errors:

- B000211 - intermittent - Squib for drivers airbag stage 2 <--can the squib component be repaired or best to get it replaced?
- Mercedes me connect service limited <--this msg came up when OBD2 was plugged in, should I be worried?

I have cleared them using the iCarsoft for now but for those knowledgable, is the airbag squib issue expensive or DIY-able (e.g. after replacing it with a used unit off ebay etc.), or will the new squib need to be coded in by the dealer using STAR etc?

Welcome to the forum!

The Mercedes Me app is pretty flaky at best and some versions use 3G which is being phased out

As for the Squib.

I wouldn't be happy using a used component in a safety critical area. That, along with the airbag removal would be something I would be leaving to an experienced MB tech 👍

Did you buy the car in a private sale, or from a trader?
 
.....unless it was on the wifes side.....then Id use an old one out of a Micra!!!
Reminds me of a joke ,where 2 policeman were at a blokes door ,saying to him , sorry about your wife sir, looks like she's been hit by a bus , he replied saying yeah , but shes good with the kids and I do her doggy style.
