First timer !!

Hi people

I'm thinking of purchasing my first Mercedes in the near future.

I currently own a 2009 vw golf gt tdi 2.0 140
After the oil pump failed the rest of the car has decided to follow suit.
As its linked with the high pressure fuel pump which then has led injectors and 2 other fuel pumps not to mention dpf failure and egr failure.

As I have lost all confidence in the VAG 2.0 TDI

I have been doing some research and I'm looking to purchase a E320 CDI 2002-2006 OM648

Am i right in thinking the straight 6 3.2 is the better choice of engine compared to the 3.0 V6

I am looking for readability first and foremost

I've not read any major issues with the 3.2 OM648

What should I be looking out for ?

Any hints tips and advice will be appreciated

Welcome, Lots of info on the forum all positive about the engine ,you might even find a straight six E280/320 for sale here. I had a 2008 V6 E320 , great car and nice engine.

Welcome, Lots of info on the forum all positive about the engine ,you might even find a straight six E280/320 for sale here. I had a 2008 V6 E320 , great car and nice engine.

Likewise, had a E280sports V6, great engine/car, the turbo did go on mine at around 65k, but apart from that, only the usual wear and tear items.
