Hello new to this forum, but I have a 200K W208 year 2000 owned since new. My problem was that the boot was closed and would not open. the key was a waste of time no matter how much I doused the lock with WD40. The red light was on, on the centre console indicating the boot was open, which it certainly was not. Had enough I drilled the Bas/*rd out.
Bought a boot lid from eBay with a lock fitted for £50.
Can anybody provide me with pictures or diagrams on the fitting procedure please. I know you may say well its the reversal of taking it off, but no, I drilled it off and then the lock assembly fell to pieces.
Thank you very much for any responses.
